Battle Math ("we", "our", or "the app") is a multiplayer math education game
designed primarily for children. We take your privacy — and your child's privacy —
very seriously. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we
use it, and your rights.

2. Information We Collect
We do NOT collect any personally identifiable information (PII) directly.
We do not ask for names, email addresses, phone numbers, or physical addresses.
The following data is processed to make the game work:
Google Play Games display name & player ID — if you sign in
with Google Play Games, your Google account display name is shown in-game and
on the leaderboard. This is handled entirely by Google; we only receive the
display name and a stable anonymous player ID from Google's SDK.
Game scores & Elo rating — your cumulative points and
chess-style Elo rating are stored in Firebase Realtime Database (Google) to
power the leaderboard. These are keyed to your anonymous Firebase user ID or
Google Play Games player ID — not to your real name or email.
Anonymous Firebase Auth ID — we use Firebase Anonymous
Authentication to create a temporary, random user ID for each device session.
No email or password is required.
Multiplayer room data — during a game session, your tank
position, health, and bullet count are temporarily stored in Firebase to
synchronise the game between two players. This data is deleted when the
game room closes.
3. Children's Privacy (COPPA & GDPR-K)
Battle Math is designed for children and complies with the
Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and
GDPR-K (GDPR provisions for children).
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
We do not display behavioural or targeted advertising to children.
Ads shown in the app are served by Google AdMob and are
configured as child-directed (non-personalised). AdMob does not use
personalised ad targeting for this app.
If you believe your child has provided personal information without your
consent, please contact us at

4. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services. Each has its own privacy policy:
Firebase Realtime Database & Firebase Auth (Google LLC) —
stores game rooms, scores, and anonymous user IDs.

handles sign-in, leaderboards, and player display names.

serves non-personalised ads. Configured as child-directed.

5. Data Storage & Retention
Game room data (positions, health, bullets) is deleted
automatically when the game room closes — typically within seconds of the
game ending.
Leaderboard data (score, Elo rating, display name) is
retained in Firebase until you request deletion.
Local device data (Elo rating, cumulative points, player name)
is stored in Android SharedPreferences on your device only and is deleted
when you uninstall the app.
6. Your Rights
You have the right to:
Request access to the data we hold about you.
Request deletion of your leaderboard data.
Withdraw consent at any time by uninstalling the app.

7. Advertising
Battle Math displays banner and interstitial ads via Google AdMob.
The app is configured as child-directed, which means:
Ads are non-personalised (no behavioural targeting).
Google does not use cookies or device identifiers for ad personalisation.
Ads comply with Google's Families Policy.
8. Security
All data transmitted between the app and Firebase is encrypted in transit
using TLS. Firebase Realtime Database security rules restrict read/write
access so players can only modify their own data.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will
update the "Effective Date" at the top of this page. Continued use of the
app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
